FOR MERCHANTS · HOW CHARGING WORKS

What you get charged for, and when you find out.

We do not publish a merchant rate card, because a single figure would not survive contact with your actual destinations, weights and parcel mix. What we can publish is the whole structure: which fees exist, what each is measured in, when the number becomes final, and how the bill can be checked line by line.

THE FEE STRUCTURE

Every charge belongs to one of these

Nothing outside this list appears on a bill. Whether a given line applies to you depends on the model you use — a store holding no stock never sees the storage row at all.

FeeMeasured inApplies when
Receiving and recordingPer inbound parcelA supplier parcel or inbound shipment arrives at the warehouse.
Handling and packingPer outbound packageA shipment is picked, packed and measured for dispatch.
International shippingChargeable weight × destination and serviceAlways. Chargeable weight is the greater of measured and volumetric weight.
Value-added servicesPer unit or per operationYou request relabelling, FNSKU labels, polybagging, bundling, inspection or similar.
StoragePer volume held, per periodOnly if you chose to hold merchant-owned inventory. Itemised on the monthly statement.
Duties and taxesSet by the destinationAssessed by the destination country, not by WooliiPorter, and never inside a shipping quote.

ESTIMATE VERSUS FINAL

Two numbers exist, and we never blur them

The estimate

Produced before the goods are measured, from declared weights and dimensions. Useful for deciding whether an order is worth taking. It is labelled as an estimate everywhere it appears.

The packed quote

Generated after packing and measurement, from the live rate table, using the parcel that is actually going to travel. This is the number you approve, and nothing is added to it at decision time.

The bill

A list of fee line items that reconciles against the packed quote, so any charge can be traced to the operation that caused it. Later charges such as duties appear as their own lines rather than being folded into shipping.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

Claims we decline to make

01

Quote a rate without your data

Destination, weight, dimensions and service change the answer enough that a headline figure would mislead more than it helps.

02

Promise delivery day counts

Transit depends on route, carrier and customs. We show current route data and the timestamps that are ours to control.

03

Estimate your duties

Import charges are the destination authority’s to set. We point you at the official source rather than guess.

04

Use the calculator as merchant terms

The public calculator shows personal-forwarding rates read from the live route table. It is a lane sanity-check, not your pricing.

FIELD NOTES / FAQ

Merchant pricing questions

Because a single number would be misleading. What a shipment costs depends on destination, service, measured or volumetric weight and the current route table, and merchant terms depend on your real parcel pattern. We publish the fee structure and the billing units instead, then scope the actual rates against your own volumes in a workflow review.

Most stores end up using both models.

Routing is decided per order line, so these are not either/or choices — they are two paths the same order can take.

GETTING STARTED

Get numbers against your own parcels.

Real destinations and a month of real parcels are the only way to produce rates that will still be true next month. Open the account, then submit your pattern with the integration application.

  1. Create your merchant account. Takes a few minutes, no commitment.
  2. Submit the integration application from inside the account — this is where you describe your suppliers, destinations and systems.
  3. The merchant console opens on approval, along with sandbox API keys.
